Hiking trails offer direct access to Cascadas Hornoyaco, Canalendres and Pequeña.
Mocoa’s topography creates a variety of microclimates where the highland terrain of the Andes Mountains transitions into the lowlands of the Amazon Basin. Local traditions and indigenous influences play a significant role in daily life where community members often come together for festivities that include music, dance, and food. The natural surroundings provide a source of livelihood and inspire deep respect for the environment among the residents, who regularly meet and discuss conservation efforts.
